Hi everyone

I thought this might be the place to get advice and inspiration. I haven't dabbled in model railways for the past fifteen years since I got married (and subsequently divorced)! I've now bought a cheap Lima class 37 as I like diesels and the EE's were always my favourite. Problem is though, I've nowhere to run it (yet). The flat's a bit small for a decent sized layout so I think I'd better start in a small way. Looking forward to participating in the site.

Hi Colin and welcome to MRF.

Like you, and by the sounds of it several others, I too live in a flat (OK it is rather larger than most) I did at one point have a dedicated railway room but someone who shall remain nameless (see above post) decided it would make a much better storeroom!

There is a lot that can be done in a small area even in OO, so I would suggest a visit to a couple of shows to get the feel of things.
