A new range of Premium Trees have been introduced by Woodland Scenics and will be distributed to the model trade by Bachmann Europe PLC.

The new range of ready made trees has already generated considerable interest and now being recognised as the best quality tree to be offered to modellers. Each tree is hand made and decorated ensuring every tree is unique and different from others purchased at the same time.

Each tree pack retails between £5.25 and £18.70 depending on size and the number of trees in each pack. They can also be used for a variety of scales to ensure trees are depicted in different sizes to enhance model railway layouts.

Premium trees can be obtained from Bachmann dealers.

I've seen the original on which the big one is modelled. Once again Bachmann have got the spacing between the top two branches out of scale, the leaves are not prototypically of the correct shape and the brown of the bark is too dark. It's OK for me though, because I'm not a "real" finescale modeller!

On a serious tree note, I bought a few trees at the last Bristol Model Rail Exhibition ( in Thornbury Leisure Centre ) and was well pleased with both price and quality. They have a well illustrated web site at www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk and yes, the do make pine trees, as well as many others.
