I really don’t know what’s happening, I have a Loksound V4 from Rails loaded with South West Digital sounds and have had loads of trouble with it running smoothly at low speeds, but the biggest problem is there is no way I can programme the decoder on the main circuit, according to everything else I should be able to, I have the Ecos 50200 with the latest software loaded, everything else works but this bloody decoder, really frustrating as the only way to tune the slow running is on the main in practice.

Forgive me if this is a silly question, but you have checked that the POM is enabled in the ECoS, and if so that it is working with another decoder?

I have the 50200's monochrome predecessor and have POM enabled. I remember once thinking it was broken but when I found it switched off, remembered that I had disabled it because the Heljan turntable didn't like RailCOM at all - which is another story.

Well I assume it is working......I am sure I used POM before, do you know how/where it could be turned on/off by any chance?

It's in one of the settings menus on the controller. Somewhere near the bit that reports the current consumption.

Ok so the rail com is on.
Can you make POM adjustments on another decoder, preferably one you have adjusted before?

Yes, that’s what is strange, the decoder has also been displaying some odd characteristics too, like the sound working one way sometimes even when the sound is turned off, also very erratic running when coming to a halt (tried auto tuning, which helped a bit but not enough) and sometimes the lights just don’t come on at all.

Ah, that's helpful. That's most likely corruption of the software copy it is running on. A decoder reset to restore the software is the
way forward. Once the decoder is back to address 03, test that it accepts the address you want, and if that is good, then go on to
check if POM is now operating. HTH.

Hello, yes did the reset weeks ago.....in fact most likely have reset the decoder at least four times, each time something slightly different happens.......and something else I noticed was that if I tried to program on the main with the
Confirm instructions” highlighted it came up with an error, but if I unticked that box it appeared to program, this is with a V4 on the ESU Ecos controller which both are Railcom compatible, anyhoo I have now given up and it’s going back to Rails.
