Instead of doing what I wanted to do today I found myself having to fault find, in the end I had to add 2 pairs of insul joiners which never needed this before maybe the Double Fairlee is sensitive but until I sorted it I had chronic shorts - but why not beforehand?

Anyway I did get this sorted and the Fairlee working so here are a couple of pics

First up Fairlee hauls logs from Hawkcombe seen in Porlock station

Had a lot of electrical bother lately, had to add two sets of insul joiners and now I need to add a third plus another supply feed, how did it all work before? I also now need to add a section feed or two because I have more trains so need some extra storage capacity. ther is a dead section in the pic above between the two points although if you worked out the geography this link does not exist but is very useful none the less.

So yesterday managed to get the backscene finished but a small piece to the right of the gas works and to extend the sky somewhat. I also added more ballast base in the forestry corner amid much foul language and general irritation

The sky will get higher here

This corner is a work in progress at the current time

I think those 'steel' coaches which Bachmann has introduced for British 009 are really just re-paints of Lilliput coaches which have been available for European narrow gauge for decades ie they are nothing new!

I suspect you are right, but Bachmann do test their product as it works unlike some others anyway it is Col Stevens whom we are talking about here so it would be a bargain but it does look post WW1 but my model is May 1926 so it's OK really at a push, well close enough anyway.

More updates but sadly my camera battery gave out so no photos taken today after I did some more work on the small railway after which I aimed to take some photos so sorry about that. In the meantime whilst I worked I let a train just run and this was well done by the Double Fairlie then others but it it is nice to get reliable operation, anyway some pics to look forward to.

In the meantime here is a Bachman Baldwin

So this weekend I have managed to get some more done on the narrow gauge Lynton Porlock & Minehead Railway, so to date the Minehead end has been a construction yard but this is now seeing some attention and hence this photo which is a bit of a distant photo showing the engine shed across the field that has grown up - er - today, sorry today my photos are a bit misty but I thought is was interesting all the same.
