My Mum and I went to Mechelen yesterday for the Open House of the Belgian model railway club De Pijl. Their club-house is located in a freight staging station, in an old building owned by the Belgian national railway service. The club house has a main layout on one floor, and a few other separate layouts.

It's definetely worth the visit - See below the photos I was able to take of the exhibition. Apologies for the low quality of the photos, I don't have the most performant of cameras.

Brian: When's that going to be actually?
We've gotta meet up!

Ta, lads - when the guy placed his beer glass on the layout, I was just like "priceless" even on the sacrosanct layout Belgium, land of beer, can't help itself lol.

What a superb selection of layouts, and one of those must be quite a rarity for mainland Europe - A GWR branch.

Like zmil I did like the "overscale" beer glass, it made me realise that I haven't had a good Belgian beer for far too long.

Thanks for taking the time.
