***Nikki - floquils solvent is xylene, which is a very "hot" thinners. Floquil always stated that undercoats were needed because of this. I tend to use white spirit with it now as it sprays better through the airbrush with a colder thinners.... an undercoat is still always wise.

Weaver (an O scale US company) paint brand "Scalecoat" is about the only paint I use with no undercoat... its created for brass and metal as a one coat to be cured by baking it after spraying - gently.... and its the finest pigment paint I've ever used - super finish every time I use it.

I too like the games workshop paints - super for dry brushing especially...
