QUOTE (shdyer @ 28 Aug 2008, 21:04) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I am confused!!
I am trying to wire up a PECO Streamline double slip - I think it is an SL-90 Insulfrog (I have lost the box and am just seting up the layout again) and have been looking at various wiring diagrams that dont seem to match up with what I can do. Anyone else wired one of these up - does it really need frog switching, and if so how? No matter how many times I have looked t the diagrams they dont seem to match up with the points in front of me! It seems to me that they will do the correct power "switching" themselves?
My brain hurts
- but then I was never really all that good at electrics!!
If it's an insulated frog double slip you dont need to do anything with it, just install it and away you go. Look at the frogs,if they are plastic then it's insulated frog.
If the frogs are metal it's an Electrofrog & you will need to fit it using insulated rail joiners. There is a diagram on this forum. If you do a search for Electrofrog Double slips you will find it.
