Very nice, even if the sleepers do have those funny moulding pips down the middle
.

I am dying to know what you think of that new Maerklin control unit, particularly the master unit with the LCD. It bears such an uncanny resemblance to the ESU ECoS I have set my heart on!

Thats exactly my sort of thing.

Busy, busy, busy with a chance of a major crash at some point if the controller takes the eye off the boil.

Very nice.

Just curious but there does seem to be very tight curves in places. Can all Marklin loco's handle these?

Happy modelling

Yes they can. I'm not sure of the radius, but as a guess 25 - 27" . I always enjoyed visiting the Marklin agent in SA, they had a very nice demo layout with these typical curves. Sweet running stock, highly detialed and
Expencive

As the Maerklin Central station came out about a year ago and the Hornby one is yet to appear I think the opposite is true. The Elite looks like the Maerklin Central station.

I'm very interested in this too.

Fantastic layout Steven. Some great locos there.

Throw away the boxes, you'll never sell any of the trains.
Do I see a stylus? Is the Central Station screen touch sensitive?

The Hornby Elite design looks rougher, the dials and buttons not as fine if that makes any difference.

To be honest all they would have in common is that they both have two dials

Everything else the technology, current, DCC format would be different. Oh and the price too.

So what is the radius on those curves ?. Quality stuff this Marklin. If you paint the outside of you DCC kit black it may convince people you have a Hornby Elite.

I suppose that would be a theft deterrent

I am looking forward to that. Some shots of how easy it is to program CVs would be nice

Nice layout, oh! that lot of cables could do with a tidy up - even though it is below the layout board.

I thought they were tidy ! Nit Picking, on the weekend too !

Nice use of space, can you publish a track plan. On one fiddle yard resembling yours we used CCTV to avoid foulups in the yard.

The CCTV kept the thefts at bay !

The pictures are Ok.

Thats a hell of a system Steven. I think we can see substantial differences between the forthcoming Hornby effort and Maerklins Central Station. That looks pretty amazing.

I am hoping that the forthcoming Trix Central Station will be similar.
wow, I'd like to see the potential of that system.

Thanks for sharing.
Nice layout and scenary Steven.
The detail around the coaling station and turntable is very good.
How are you going with Märklin Central Station;any problems?
I didnt see any problem on central station as well.
