Can anybody please tell me the typical British distance between platform edges with double tracks between or, the distance between platform edge and closest rail.

Actually, the frequency with which I keep losing then spending ages hunting out those drawings yet again makes me think that they may be better made "sticky" by placing them somewhere with a clear title in forum resources so they are always available.
