I have just fitted two Hornby point motors using the point motor 'hut' on curved points and found that they are perfecting fine. They both operate from a single Black hornby passing switch. You should be careful on the curves, as I discovered after fitting them that my Bachmann voyager scraped one of them and it ended in me removing one wall of the hut. Fortunately it won't affect the scene in this case as it is not in the scenic area. The second motor was fitted using the extension bar as a track was in the way and so was not affected.
