I'd be tempted to add some passing loops in the hidden mountain section at the top so that I could have somewhere to store trains and add an element of surprise in operation.

That incline looks very steep. It might be a "trick" of the photograph but I think it might be a bit too much. How long are your trains going to be? If you just plan a single coach and loco or railcar, you might be able to make it at a run. I strongly advise you to test it before you go any further with the scenery side. It would be a shame for it not to work out.

One way to reduce the incline would be to give the mountain station a "step" of its own to sit on at a lower height and have a sheer cliff just behind it to clear the hidden track at the back if you see what I mean.
