Olive green came in with the other changes to wagon liveries in early 1963; this is the time that the beginning of 'boxed' lettering started (later to become 'TOPS' panels), Ice blue in place of white and the introduction of the short-lived Rail freight 'box' logo (and yellow on BR road vehicles). For a short time before (1960-62, I believe) some PW wagons were painted in Gulf Red, but this didn't last long enough to become widespread. The olive then remained until progressivly replaced by the grey/yellow in the 1980s.
