They are still available, but not well advertised. There have been good articles recently about them in the Railway Magazine, unfortunately I don't know which months, as I look at my Father's copies, but definitely this year.

Rail Rover Tickets ?
Hi Guys - I've got some free time later this year and am planning on taking a few trips down memory lane (unfortunately not going to see the same traction as 20 years ago!) - is it still possible to get a ticket which enables you to travel anywhere for say 3,5 or 7 days ? or is it now a case of buying seperate tickets everywhere you go ! - any info would be much apprecitated.

they are still available. oddly enough they are actually much cheaper if you buy them outside the uk. but this may change very soon.
