Well Railjet is of course now up and running, whizzing across Austria and out to Munich, Zurich and Budapest. Here on the way to Budapest...

I think I was fairly close then with my design!!

Good news this year for N scale modellers: Hobbytrain is making an N scale model!!! It will come split into two items, a four coach set and a three-coach with locomotive set, available with three different names, the "Spirit of X" being the current format! Carefully selected so there is one each perfectly suited for Swiss and German modellers!

Hobbytrain 25211 N: Set "RAILJET - Spirit of Switzerland", ÖBB, Ep. VI, 4teilig mit Lok (Ergänzungs-Set zu 25210)

From the pre-order prices then these models look to be aimed at the same standard achieved on the marvellous SBB IC2000 coaches made by Hobbytain / Kato / Lemke and soon to be delivered (to Germany, the Swiss have already got theirs!!).

Thanks for the pictures David, I hope you had a good time in der Schweiz whether it was business or pleasure. It really should visit the train wash, but then no-doubt will be dirty again soon in this weather as you say. I wonder what the train washing frequency is for the SBB and ÖBB and how it varies with time of year?

Now all the forum needs is for someone to actually catch it and we can have a full report! I'll have to schedule a Railjet trip into my next holiday...
