it does seem our hobby is over-influenced by commercial issues?

and probably explains why MRJ is not so easy to get hold of?

probably don't want to go down that commercial road, and all that it implies?

I had difficulty finding Hornby magazine in the shops when it first launched until I discovered that a model shop not far from work stocked it. Now I call in there and get it. They do the MRJ as well. So my suggestion is that if you have a model shop within say 10 miles of where you live or work, get it from them. Sure they'll only get a few pennies on each copy but it is profit and you might just buy something else as well.

I think they just ignore it, although I have recently been in the Margate store when the manager removed several people who were sitting on the floor reading magazines!
