Hello all,

Having decided to take the plunge and go DCC, I'd like to get at least my first decoders fitted by experts. I'd like to be able to go to a workshop and see it done - this may give me the confidence to have a go at the next lot myself.

I seem to be equidistant (about 60/70 miles from each) from Digitrains and DCC Supplies, so thought I'd visit one of these two places. I'm near Tamworth - is there someone on my doorstep that I don't know about? Are these two places a good safe bet? I've bought from DCC Supplies in the past but never used Digitrains.

Many thanks all,

James

Hi James,

I would wholeheartedly reccomend Digitrains for conversions to DCC Chris and Jeremy offer a quick and economical service and you can go down to see them but i'm not sure when their workshops are best thing give them a ring

Thanks upnick...

I was leaning towards Digitrains anyway as they seem to be slightly cheaper and aren't far from Lincoln - my home town and site of the wedding we're supposed to be organising when I stop worrying about converting to DCC!!
Hi James,
Your welcome
i know Digitrains have accomodation as well at the manor if you are thinking of going down there ......

I have been on a 1 day course at DCC Supplies and used both companies for mail order and from my experience I can recommend both of them - which doesn't really help you much!
Hi James,

I have always used Digitrains and can't fault either their friendliness or their service. I actually bought my ECoS ESU Controller based on Chris's well-reasoned recommendation and have absolutely no regrets about it.
