Featured on the Railway Channel and on Railway Modeller Free CD-Rom is Ray Green's layout Bodmin which uses "Red Arrow" infa red control system which seems similar to DCC in that some kind of Chip is fitted in each Loco.I must admit I know nothing about this and would be interested if anyone could shed some light on it

Hi,

Just Googled this and here is the result not read it yet so it could contain naked ladies but hey, it's all fun!

RED ARROW INFRA RED

Ian
Thanks Wiggy
Sadly no naked women but it does answer my question Thanks

Ha,

Now wouldn't it be good to have naked ladies showing off the system????

Anyway looks quite good, now would it not be possible to scrap the battery in the loco and run it off the rails, no need for the bridge rectifier or charger.

Surely that could be done......oh yes the Bachmann Dynamis.....which also happens to be cheaper!!

Gosh, I remember this system being mentioned in Modelling Railways Illustrated, this is the first time I've heard of it actually being used. For me the big advantage over DC / DCC is no more track cleaning!

I run my garden railway quite a bit, so with all metal wheels I never have to clean the track !

That really is a bargain when you consider the Trix one is 289 Euros. I see they are also selling reduced DCC equipment; Digitrax and NCE.
