There's not been a lot of progress over the past couple of weeks. Main bridge structure is almost there. Just a few cross bracing to do in the upper beams and then the walkways either side of the rail deck. I've started on the two masonary piers. They're ready to be clad in 'stone'. And I've also started on the towers either end of the bridge. It's all coming along nicely.

*** Absolutley fansastic!!

Al this is a VERY impressive bit of work - its so easy to dream of these things and very much another to take it to reality - I am really enjoying watching this progress and having already seen some of your finished work in the ferry and other things on the thread, I am dead sure its going to be a long thread that just keeps getting better... and I really look forward to each bit of progress!

Kind regards

Al

Just seen your last picture. I am absolutely speechless.
That is modelling at its VERY VERY VERY best.
To quote/misquote a certain person from a cooking program - it does not get better than this.

Well done you - I hope that you are extremely proud of yourself. If I could make something like that to anywhere near the same quality I know I would be.

THere was an article in MR a few years ago, and a guy actually did that! Not sure if he finished it, but it was still a good article. It may have been in MR No;90?

The Forth bridge is probably quite feasible with T Gauge and with that new Deltic kit.....

In T gauge it would be 5.2 metres or somewhere around 17 feet which is too short for the usual 16' garage....

*** LOL - I would love to see the shopping list for the materials... Never mind the brass by the kilometer, the resin or spar varnish or whatever for the water would need delivering by mini tanker :) :) . A job for that layout "after the lottery win"
