Progress this years seems very slow. Six months into this project I'd hoped to be a bit further on.

Any update this weekend.
I've got both the towers built and ready for cladding. At this rate I might be able to get some track liad before the year end...

Progress may be slow, but it certainly is steady - the final result will look superb, that's a certainty.

Picked up a Kibri Signal box kit yesterday for the junction west of the bridge were the Erpul - Hellenburg line crosses over the Remagen - Sinzig line.
The kit builds up quite nicely, and after a quick coat of paint, is ready for a light weathering.

I've had a look around the internet and could find any 'n' gauge birds, so looks like I'll have to make them.

No birds yet, just a couple of baseboards and a bit of track.

Began work on the two fiddle yards. This is the east yard. A basic three track loop each long enough to take a loco+11 and a reversing siding in the middle.

6 months so far. Still some way to go until it's finished.

Another little scenic detail do today. A Lancaster bomber that would have crash landed in the field on the west bank of the river. I just need to scratch build a couple of Merlin engines for the debris field to finish it off.

The model is from Amodel and 1:144 scale rather than 1:160, however a most people have not real concept of how big a Lancaster is, the fact it's slightly too large will mostly go un-noticed.
