Hi,

My OO layout lives in the 8'x6' shed at the bottom of the garden.

Hi John and a very warm welcome to the MRF.

Your layout is an absolute inspiration and just about the best example I have seen of what can be done in a comparatively small space. It's obviously been, and no doubt continues to be, a labour of love.

The little dioramas you have created are what brings a model to life.

I only hope my layout turns out half as good as yours.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Expat.

Hi John,

I've been studyingyour photos and trying to work out how the different levels work. Any chance of a track diagram ??

Thanks John,

Simple but so, soooo effective.

Every time I look at the photos I spot something new.

Cheers,

Thanks John and good luck with the exhibition layout.

Judging by the standard you have achieved with 'Springhead' I don't think you will be short of invitations to exhibit it.

Cheers,

Hi John,

I've been watching your progress over recent weeks with a mixture of amazement and envy.

How on earth do you manage to find the time to build such an excellent layout in such a short space of time and to such a high standard ?. Well done indeed.

I tried looking at your recent Youtube video but it says it's no longer available so don't know if the problem is with me or Youtube.

Regarding point operation I agree with railstimulator and, although loco control will be DCC, I am using a convention stud and probe system for points operation.

Keep up the good work.

Trevor.

Looks good to me John. Not a brush mark in sight.

Go for it I say.

You may need to add an extra story on your shed !

Regards Zmil

That's not a shed. It's a Tardis.

Great work again John. An inspiration to us all.

Excellent work as usual John. Nice touch the personalised plates on the low-loader.

Keep it up,

Trevor.
QUOTE (madon37s @ 19 Nov 2008, 12:34) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>When you say you set the pictures to 70cm wide how do you know the size

I use photoshop which has the option to have a ruler showing along the top and side of the picture, much the same as the ruler which shows in MS Word.
Absolutely brilliant !!!

The overall impression is so realistic.

I'm not sure the "Elf & Safety" brigade would be too happy with the proximity of those doors to an unguarded railway track though. They would be demanding an 8ft high security fence on top of the retaining wall to stop kids getting onto the track.

Good luck in the competion and thanks for all the pleasure you have given in allowing us to see inside your 'shed'.

Merry Christmas.
Excellent modelling as usual John.

Where on earth do you get your ideas from ? Most of us, having finished constructing a building, wouldn't think of then taking a window out and having a workman installing a new one. Really lateral thinking and an eye for detail.

Well done.
Great work as usual John but how on earth are you going to get a motor, gear box and chip into it ??
The final drive could be a bit awkward as well.

I just happen to work for BB and if you're interested John I can provide you with Balfour Beatty logo and font.
Absolutely superb John. Good luck at Rochdale.
