Having once tried out the 'address 0' functionality available on my Lenz system, never again. The DC loco's Mashima motor expired in a fair sized cloud of smoke. The system did not detect any kind of fault, the DCC equipped locos continued running normally as the motor burnt out. I was only testing the capability in advance of a friend's visit, as he would often bring a (DC) loco with him for a run on my layout, since he has no layout of his own.
