Hi, I was wondering if there are any members in the Barnsley area that run Hornby Live Steam models. I am new to the Live Steam and would be greatful for any help on the subject. I have recently aquired the Mallard set. I haven't had the chance to run it yet, as I am waiting to get some distilled water and a rolling road, which hopefully will be delivered today or tomorrow. I am also in the process of making a layout, early days still,as the last layout I had was 32 years ago, and ran with Zero One, fortunatly I still have some Locos that I recently found at my parents house, including the Hornby APT still boxed that I got for Christmas 1980. So if you are near to the Barnsley area and have some advice, I would be glad to hear from you.

Many thanks. G.R.Pasta. (PastaCore).

It was a good system at the time, the rest of my locos I have found are still chipped, may go looking for some ZO control units, I have never used the DCC system, but if it is as good or better than ZO I would be tempted to try it.

Thanks for your reply,
