Hi All

Can anybody tell me about Schicht rolling stock , particularly coaches. Are they compatiable with FLM? A google search revealed little except small amounts for sale on eBay.

Thanks in anticipation.

I haven't seen any about for a while although I seem to recall we had a couple through our hands a couple of years ago. If memory serves I believe they were part of the Piko 'group' in the old days of the DDR. As such they are primitive by modern standards and almost certainly came with hook and loop couplings.

Regards
Thanks for the info. I think I might just give them a miss.

For once your memory is correct, although it was, AFAIK more of a "consortium".

They did indeed come with hook & loop couplings & some were very crude. On the other hand some very good, some coaches came with lights as standard (& a very good pickup system) & real glass for the windows. They also did some excellent articulated double decker stock.

AFAIK, the products were manufactured if many different locations which is the reason the quality varied so much.

The double deckers were excellent and with very little work (slight reduction of ride height, larger buffers and better couplers) can be very good models indeed. Some of the other stuff was a bit variable.

I should have remembered the real glass, I found some in the workshop a few weeks ago and asked where it came from!

Thanks for info. There are a couple of coaches on eBay if anybody is interested. If they could possibly need detailed work I think I will give it a miss.
