Hi,not sure what your after but I've made a recovery truck and for the lifting gear an old necklace from a charity shop was used as the chain and a quick rumage through a box of old toys at a boot sale can sometimes yield old cranes etc... does this help?

I am trying to build a scratch built loco hoist for around my disel shed. I have got the frame done, but am just wondering how to make the hoist. i am aware that Ratio make a kit and have been looking at that, but if anyone out there had any other suggestions that wud be great thanks! Pictures would also be appreciated.
