Can you replace a selectrix decoder with an ordinary dcc one and is it easy?

Depends on the locomotive - we have done a few OHE & diesels & we have found it easier to remove all the electrics, start again & rewire them, using standard colours.

The ones we have done have all been hard wired - not sure about the later ones.

Some Uhlenbrook decoders are multi-protocol, the locomotive(s) in question may have one fitted ?
