You could buy on eBay and sell on eBay. Find a niche market learn all about it so that you can make a profit on your sales and work your way up from there.
Perhaps look for a drop shipping wholesaler that sells model railway items. http://www.doba.com/ is just one example. I don't think they do trains though.
