Hi Babs,
unfortunately it is not sound, which is a shame as the sound chip for these Roco French Pacifics is amazing and very different to any other steam loco that I have, as I have mentioned in another post. The Rivarossi coaches are lovely aren't they, I'm now looking forward(and saving) for the Jouef SNCF 241 to arrive.
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian,

Lovely to see the Brown and cream stock instead of the normal Blue, that loco is beautifully detailed and the value gear is very well done

QUOTE (tonkatoy @ 13 May 2016, 18:59) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>After seven years of kicking myself for not having bought this when it first came out and years of searching, I've finally obtained the magnificent Roco Nord Pacific.

Hello Tonkatoy,

Nice pickup. These are much harder to find in 3-rail versions.

Pierre Dominique has several Rivarossi Fleche D'Or coaches currently, in both brown and blue variants, if you were looking for extras. The pricing is extreme, however.
Hello all, glad you enjoyed the photos. Adrian, I will check out the Pierre Dominique website, thanks for the info.
Cheers

Hello Babs,
That is lovely! I was going to post a picture I took of one of these still working in 2014 but seeing your location, I'm sure I don't need to!

Hello,

I finally got around to buying some Busch model cars.
There's a handful of Ricko models that I'd like to get as well.

My two purchases this month are quite a contrast to Adrian's as my interest in HO International is in the "here and now".

These are the latest additions for my Brenner Pass freight train. Both are new releases from Roco. The pocket wagon has a humongous number of bits most of which I have not fitted for the time being.

You don't need too many of these to create a respectable looking train.

Hi Babs,
Of course!

This was taken on 06/09/2014 between Nördlingen and Treuchtlingen, Bavaria.

David,
I don't blame you for not putting the extra details on your new cars! When I've done mine, I find the details are so fragile, if I transport them to run on my friends layout, I have to redo them every time. They're still gorgeous as they are!

Adrian,
Those Busch (& Ricko) cars are simply gorgeous, I love them!
Cheers,
John.

Harburg is a lovely little town on the line from Noerdlingen to Donauwoerth. The little Koef is always there to service the cement works you see in the background. Harburg has a famous castle, worth visiting, although the same family also owns Schloss Wallerstein on the other side of Noerdlingen, and I prefer this castle because it houses a brewery with really nice beer !
Noerdlingen is also the home of the Bavarian Railway museum, an awesome place to visit. I will stay in Noerdlingen for 5 nights this year in September. A lot of interesting history in this area and I recommend a visit.

I didn't know this - dammit! Another reason to get back to visit our office in Schonaich...

Cheers
I haven't visited the museum but I did get some photos of their stock from the multi-storey car park by the railway station on the other side of the line. I put them in this blob entry

The town itself is well worth a visit and claims the most complete city wall in the country.

David
John Thank you for posting the Pic of the Kof, Adrian Thank you for your pics of the Austrian Train very nice indeed.Babs
Excellent - thanks for posting David. It's now on the list...
