I understand. I was also thinking if there was stuff in the garage like tools, bikes etc as people are looking for gifts for Xmas - amazing how it quickly builds up into spare cash for a new loco :)
Reddo, Yes there is Stuff in the Garage i can Sell Thank You You have just given me an Idea. Thanks Babs
just in, from panic buying. I think my purchasing excuse was that I can make a couplage with these and add to the Fleche D'Or set. It's a golden arrow nocked on a fairly long-drawn bow... Just makes it into Era II.

mostly.

Pullman Interior:

Apologies for the low-fi photos. The Pullman coach is definitely a cream colour, not white.

Yep. LSM are expensive, but they don't scrimp on details.
I wish I could afford more. I'd really like the Egyptian 3-pc sleeper set, but it's a big outlay in one hit.
Like Babz...time to have a rummage in the garage Adrian for a sell-off to fund the Egyptian set methinks
They are superb coaches and totally concur on the details

Wet and grey morning here in Munchenland, so after a train journey up to Frankfurt this week, was looking for a set of EC (Eurocity) EPVI coaches (not a fan of ICE TBH)
(I have the EPV versions 1:100 bought when I started out in HO not realising the difference)

Fate played a hand with an email from Kramm this morning having an offer on the Roco sets, but a quick check on MSL at a lower price caused a bit of a rake purchase...ah well Xmas will be here soon.

Not only pictures, but dates and addresses !!

Nothing much to report, but well, this arrived yesterday, and I am well pleased. Haven't run it in yet, and the absence of the induction shoe thingy worries me, but what a nice piece of kit weighing in at around 800g

Ok you can say but hey, 6991, I thought you liked the Allgaeu region, why did you buy this ? Well this loco in Ep3b, in the 60's, was stationed at Munich Hbf. It ran often over the Gunzachersteige as a Bremsloko, I have pictures of it in action.
I had just signed a new contract with my employers and when various Liliput items came up on special, I thought 'what the hell' and here it is.

Cheers

Hi reddo, that's a good looking car and I'm wondering if it could be used with the other IC cars made by Roco - 64686, 64687 and 64688. I'm trying to build a train based on my recently acquired Marklin - DB AG 101 MHI 25 Year Anniversary. Any ideas?

I am not sure Panto - looking at the Roco site and flicking between images, there is a difference in window design, roof detail and probably bogies.

I am not an expert on these IC/EC train formations so not too sure. I had to purchase the IC Buffet Bistro car as there wasn't one for the EC coaches but comparing it with the actual photos I took of the train before getting on at Frankfurt, seems that this is what they did with the prototype

Funny you say that. After the unrelenting Brawa-spree this year, I now have enough Brawa stock for a handful (15) of complete, smallish trains.
That renders everything else as 'dispensible'

Phew!!
That is some collection Babs! How long have you been at this though!?!
I'm into German outline for some ten years now and have barely half your numbers! Prior to that, I was into American for about twenty years and still had less, plus it cost much less, an awful lot of which a few years ago to help finance the German.
Chapeau!
It's a nice, happy raving though, eh?
Cheers,
John.

Holy Crap...and I thought I was mad

Yep. I don't want to know what's in the garage
...or that it's a four-car garage...

Babz, road numbers are your friend. Have only one of each. I do; and it was still easy to fill containers totaling about 600 litres of trains.
Unless, of course, you need spares for Justin. Anyone else keeping stuff for Justin Case?

I have also noticed another MRR peculiarity: trains that I have placed into my SELL folder, I often find later in my KEEP folder. Very strange

I Have been collecting for Fourty years Although in my early years not as much as i do now.As you all know life gets in the way of everything.I worked out of Berlin & SaarBrucken in the 80's and in Berlin when i was there the Taxi Driver who picked us up from the airport to the Hotel used to take me to his best Model shops Very priviliged I was he did not do it for everybody. In Saarbrucken there was not much but the Local Kaufhoff was very good then.In Berlin The KaDeWe had a great model section It is like the Harrods of Berlin.Enough said about the Garage. The reason i have more than one of each is you never see just one on the Tracks and also Incase i Break one. Have a great Week. Babs
