Hi reddo, that's an excellent choice and a great loco to have. I've been checking out the Marklin version of it. Both the Vectron and Traxx locos can be ordered with the "last mile" (diesel engine - traction battery combo) feature for crossing non-electrified sections of track or border/yard shunting with enough fuel to last 8 hours. This is sort of related but I hope that Roco or Marklin make the SBB Cargo Vectrons as they're wrapped in a very flashy livery. I wish you the best of luck finding another job. I know how it feels, my wife has been riding the crude oil roller coaster for the last 2 years after working for the same company for many years.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Another reservation which arrived over Christmas. This time from a model shop in Austria as MSL weren't able to get any stock. It's the ACME 3 car set of the Innsbruck - Bozen REX service. The carriages are all Bmz. The 'special' bit is the local markings - 'VVT', 'SAD' and one other.
Hi David, what can I say, the cars and the loco are spectacular. I just wish that one of the better OBB 1116 manufacturers (NOT PIKO!) would release a standard non-camera digital AC loco again.
