Thanks for the replies. This particular section is Scotland late nineties, early 2000's, West Highland. Kyle line. The station is a terminus although not supposed to be Kyle.

The two crossovers is supposed to be on the Highland mainline and is in a different section to the terminus station.

Tim, I will have German signalling to ask about next year. That will be coming up soon.

In which case if you are using Colour light signals a two or three aspect on each platform as starter signals and a GPL (Ground Position Light) signal on the siding (add a trap point to the siding?)
If you wish to model the radio-token signalling there would be some extra signs as well.

Are the crossovers on the main line (I know little abut the Highland main line) converting a standard two way stretch into two single bi-directional lines, acting as emergency crossovers or what?

You are right that the bridge does conceal connections to another part of the layout.

The crossovers are emergency crossovers.
