Hi All,
After looking at my considerable loco collection i decided a photo session would be a good idea god forbid anything should happen to them for insurance purposes if you all think and add up your collections probably you would be shocked as to their value.
Keeping a photographic record is far better than descriptions and will show any modification to the factory item, so i set about making a simple photobox 2ft X 8 inches and 7 inches high approx, it has a crossover in the centre with of course two tracks leading away to the ends and is powered to show any locos with lighting.
For its background i have chosen a rockface a green area leading to the top of the backboard a double tunnel cut out of the rock adds interest.
All this came from offcuts of mdf from my board build and offcuts of track the crossing is a s/h insulafrog one i had lying around but it will be covered by the locos all but the small shunters. rock castings were tests of my moulds.
A nice simple project that doubles as a small test box in DC connected to the controller so a duel purpose item really.
So if you fancy a different project not too time consuming and useful i hope you find this idea a good addition to your collections.
I''l post some pics of it soon as it is covered in wet pva at the moment the ballasting just finished.
