I just read some advertising on this product SmartSwitch a slow motion point motor with added
electronics to change frog polarity or signals
has anyone used these on there layout or read any reports on them
Had a quick look on the link & it does look like a nice product - reasonably cost effective when you add up the cost of four slow action point motors & an accessory decoder. A nice selection of useful hardware too.
One feature I do like is the way the frog switching if "off" during movement (a problem I have had with slow action motors in the past).
That looks really interesting. I have seen servo control packages like this for semaphores etc. Team Digital do a similar package and Full Stop Signals do a similar one for their Bouncer mechanism too. All part of my upcoming experimentation.
