There are a number of new releases by Signs of The Times who specialise in OO gauge' lineside detailing items. They include the speed camera above and items below.

New for Summer 2005! No industrial location is complete without one. Whitemetal kit requires construction and painting to complete. Manufactured by S-Kits. Example shown here has been modelled and photographed by Andy Self and is shown prior to painting.

New for Summer 2005! Pack of 33 pairs of street names, suitable for use all over the UK. Popular names include Station Road; High Street, Bridge Street; Gladstone Terrace; St Andrew's Road; Railway Terrace and many more...

New for Summer 2005! An ideal opportunity to revisit the highway code! Selection of signs that will detail roads on any layout with an urban bias. Photographically reproduced on quality card - requires cutting from sheet and mounting on poles as shown.

Interesting thoughts Tony.

Have a look at this. The layout is called Valkova Road!

There is a link to the website below the image and the link has full coverage of the layout and shows you what you really can do with Signs of the Times detailing which has been used throughout.

And I would very much recommend that Tony visits the section dedicated to Valkova Road. If he does then he will appreciate that there is more to Valkova Road than he may think and he really has no need to worry about Signs of the Times!

I would be curious just to know just how popular these names are around the world!

Here in Australia nearly every street that runs past a station is called Station street and any road that follows a railway seems to be called Railway avenue!

In the town I live in (Pakenham. Vic) Station street is actualy one block from the Station and Railway avenue runs alonside the Station.

As for speed cameras. They seem to be everywhere!!!

Just a thought!

They have speed cameras in Australia!

There you are driving along a 1000 mile long perfectly straight highway through the outback from Sydney to Alice Springs and after 500 miles of featureless desert you suddenly see a speed camera!

Sadly most streets named "Station Street" in the UK no longer have a station.

I guess that a special pack could be produced for Australia with "Ramsay Street" in!

Sad but possible! I don't know about over there but we also have mobile speed cameras which is a car with a camera mounted on the dash and external flash unit on the bumper bar. They can park almost anywhere and look just like any other car until you pass one at a slightly higher speed than the posted limit.

I got pinched for travelling just 4KPH over the limit quite recently.

What made it worse was that I was driving an emergency vehicle at the time!

As for Ramsay Street, It would be the only one I wouldn't use!
