Just found out that the St Albans and District Model Engineering Society annual Exhibition is running this weekend.

It's at Francis Bacon School, Drakes Drive, off London Road, on the SE side of St Albans, about a mile from the London Colney roundabout on the A414 North Orbital Road. Take the A1081 to St Albans, turn right at the first set of traffic lights.

Open 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday 29th/30th Sept. Refreshments available.

Layouts:
Small N gauge Continental
Hornby Dublo three-rail
Hornby 0 gauge electric

Various live steam models up to 7.25 inch - mostly static, but short passenger-hauling track in operation.
Some rolling stock O gauge and upwards on display.

Stands include RTCS with some books, video/DVD and postcards, and on the Society's own sale stand there are small quantities of Trix three-rail 00 gauge track, Hornby 3-rail tinplate 0 gauge and an unknown make of two-rail 0 gauge track all for sale. Plenty of tools and miscellaneous bits and pieces also available.

Other exhibits include live steam stationary engines, boats and planes. Also a large Meccano exhibition including a number of railway models, some working.

Regards,
John Webb

Hello John,

Sounds good, alas I'm busy this weekend with some fence panels...(a noise screen for my Kato TGV model obviously!)... any chance of some pictures by someone who is able to go?
