St Albans South Signal Box - an Invitation
It was announced at tonight's AGM of the Preservation Trust that the St Albans South Signal Box will be regularly open on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from April to October inclusive, from 2 to 5pm. In September we'll be open longer over the Heritage Open Days weekend.
So if you want to see a three-panel 44 lever Midland railway box close up, do come along. We're in Ridgmont Road St Albans, off Victoria Street about 200 yards from the Platform 4 exit of St Albans City Station on the Midland Main Line from St Pancras - sorry, no post code available for anyone coming via Satnav guidence.
