Hi my name is Ash, i'm 44 and im disabled and use a wheelchair. I want to have an N Gauge layout in my conservatory, i was wandering where can i buy an N Gauge railway to put on my board and also can i buy scenery all in one box, like sheds, houses, ponds, ballast, tunnels bridges, things like that or do i buy those separately? I can't use my hands very well.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I don't model in N gauge so some of this may not be accurate.
In terms of 'layout in a box', I think the closest N gauge gets to that would be a 'train set' but on looking at the obvious candidate for that - Bachmann Europe plc - model-railway -> Graham Farish - British N Scale, I don't see anything listed at all. Dapol Dapol don't seem to have any either, so for British outline N gauge you are going to have to go 'a la carte'.
The same goes for buildings, scenery etc.

Given your comment about your hands, you might want to consider whether to use 'sectional' track rather than flexible track. The advantage of sectional track is that you don't have to do any cutting or fitting to particular curves but you are restricted to the geometry of the track system you choose.

I think you would be best to visit your nearest model railway shop which stocks a wide range of N gauge models and discuss your requirements.

Hi Ash and welcome.
That's a lot of questions there and much will depend on what you would like to do with the layout.

At the lower end of the mountain are various railway sets, with many themes to choose from. These can be fixed on a board very simply. A look at Hornby {Arnold}, Bachmann {Graham Farrish}, Peco {N}, will give you an idea of what sets you might like to see.

There are also lots of scenery items which can be bought, ready to place around the tracks, as might please you.

That said, I rather get the impression that a ready-run tracks laid board is what you are looking for, ready to use. There are several companies which can make layouts for people and can be found with a google search, for layout builders. {It is advisable to look vary carefully at what they produce and comments of those folk who have bought them.}

Have you got an idea of the type of trains you would like to see running, as that would give people an idea about what they might recommend. Oh, yes, and what sort of size area do you have available? {Conservatory's vary quite a bit in size.}

David and I were typing at the same time. In view of the combined comments, I might add something about the tracks you might get.

I recently came across N Gauge Pike track, which just plugs together and has plug/socket connections for power/points and other times. It makes building a layout very simple, so may be worth a look.
