station favour request

Hello
Not a model rail favour but does anyone happen to know if on the web there is a drawing of a wooden station finial - not certain if this is the correct name though - I mean the wooden station awning/canopy - where it overhangs the platform/track edge - the drop down part that looks similar to a fleur de ley shape. Often you now see them with the bottom edges cut flush - assume wood rot - rather than the attractive shapes they once were.
Hope this makes sense..
Thanks

I think you will find that every railway company had its own design...however I believe that Mainly Trains have some of them etched in brass...
Good Luck

Thanks for the tips. Any railway co would be okay but I was really after a line drawing, something that I could print out full size......
Cheers
If you are going to do any google searches, use: "Fleur-de-lis". Bonne chance

Changing my spelling helped a lot in the search. Thanks very much. I have now found a site that tells you how to draw a Fleur-de-lis..................
Thanks again
I don't know if this would help you, but I have a dimensioned drawing that I prepared from a tracing of the original drawings for the valancing to the canopies at Sutton Station in Surrey when it was rebuilt in 1882. If I could work out how to post a picture I would!
BTW Muswell Models have a good range of etched valances for 4mm - my drawing is similar to their EV415 if that helps.
