Hi Yesterday was the 1st steam day of the year at the Strathaven municipal park where the club has some great facilities, the club has a high level 2 1/2" 3 1/2" 5 " 380 ft circle,5"& 7 1/4" 1400 ft approx double circle, 8 road turntable, 4 steaming bays.water and coal is available as is easy access to the site,as it is municipal park access is by prior arrangement with the club sec on 01698-821032 Any steam diesel or outline lococs are welcome to use the track, we operate saturdays and sundays in season, weather permiting. the steamers require a current boiler cert plus insurance. We can provide rolling stock for both the 5" high level & 7 1/4" ground level tracks
We steamed after boiler and system testing a 1949 7 1/4 2-6-0 GWR mogul type which performed very well for it's 1st major steaming since last season. For rides we used our Abberton diesel 0-4-0. At present we are in the process of building 0-6-0 Holmside saddle tank a black" 5 " 7 1/4 Highlander, and various individual projects. The club has a semi-active oo &"n" gauge layout.
You would be made most welcome to come and pay us a visit. We are allways looking for new members and for a very small fee of £10-00 become an active member of the club, with the added bonus of learning to drive live steam locos.

Hi Dennis
The short answer is yes, but and there is "allways a but " at present I am still using 35 mm wet process film, I have no scanner that works with windows Xp cant'get the drivers and have not decided on an affordable digital set up. So it will take a few weeks before I can get some shots and get them developed and digitised. Best part of a couple of weeks I thinkbut I will get them.
