TCS M series decoder in Bachmann Jinty

1700 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Walter
Hello,

I put a TCS M1 in a Bachmann Jinty last night and am struggling somewhat with tuning performance. I'd like it to run like a proper shunter - good slow speed control, limited max speed, some accelleration/decelleration delay.

How should I configure CV 2, 5, 6 for speed, CV 3 and 4 for momentum and CV 56 and 57 for dither?

Does anyone else have a Jinty or similar with a TCS decoder from the M range that they'd be happy sharing their setup with?

I've had a look on the TCS web site and gone through the (excellent) documentation, but I was hoping to refer to a real life example

Thanks,

Walter

Walter, how did you get on with this?

I have a similar problem with my TCS M1's and trying to control the speed. I have tried changing the CV's, but so far I have only made it worse
