Hello all,
There is a larger picture of a steel carrier here:
http://images1.fotopic.net/?id=512350&outx=600&oq=0
Can anyone provide the length, width and height of this type of steel carrier (which Dapol are making a model of) or point me towards a website with the information? The reason is I'm thinking of including some in a rake of 1:160 scale Roco steel carriers and wonder if they would look silly together. The idea is that although the Dapol model is 1:148 it is UK loading gauge and so smaller than European wagons and hopefully the two effects will cancel out (esp. when the buffers etc. are trimmed and repositioned...) Also is this wagon a KIB? I know nothing about UK wagon names and can't find any decent pictures because I don't know what to ask google for, nor a succinct explanation of what is called what and why!
Thanks, and as always reality is defenstrated in a quest for a prototypical length train!
