QUOTE (Brian Considine @ 20 Sep 2008, 20:03) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi & welcome to MRF - looks like we have another Essex member ?

Please tell us about your interests.

Enjoy the (madhouse) forum.

Hi guys, I am 12000k and 50 years from Billericay but grew up in Essex. My trick-cyclist says its because my house was on the railway embankment out of Billericay that i got hopelessly fixated at an impressionable age by B12's. D16's, B17's and that no improvement could be expected

I have just switched to modelling Ep2 DRG after 30 years doing OO/UK/BR(E) partly cos there is some really nice steam models available.

I have lotsa questions about DRG and modelling it about which I know close to zilch.
So thanks for welcome guys and Brian I have enjoyed your posts.

QUOTE (Richard Johnson @ 25 Sep 2008, 21:59) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>***Hi Andrew - I didn't recognise you by the on-list the Forum name, sorry!

Marklin club and Rhein-Donnau are quite different clubs by the way - if you drop into the Rhein-Donnau club on a Friay night the bars open, the food & beer are excellent and the model railway club is generally open at about 7 or so ....their large HO scale layout is worth a look.... it runs both DC and DCC, and they have nicely integrated some Marklin into it too. Scenery it now well progressed and its getting better all the time.

Richard

Hi Richard,
SWMBO is quite amenable to the visit, even after a comprehensive confession of the varied reasons. So...one Fri after work...
No reason you could have recognised Billericaybill, after you do know me as Andrew !

Cheers Andrew
