I notice from the Model Railroader summary that there seem to be quite a number of Lenz products being announced , including the "Standard" [ie the "not-Bronze"]. This is quoted as 1 inch by 2 inches , which sounds quite a bulky decoder

The 'Standard' is 1.0" x 0.61" x 0.2"

The Lenz 'Gold' is 0.90" x 0.65"x 0.24"

No not too much difference.

Check out the new Lenz Silver with 21-pin socket. 0.17" x 0.60" x 0.80".

QUOTE (Dennis David @ 30 Jul 2007, 20:10) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>... ah Detroit, Michigan, the garden spot of America. These shows/conventions are always held in the mid-west.
Unless somebody is paying me I try to avoid the interior regions of the United States.

Some of the middle bits aren't too bad. Compared with here that is!

I'd like to get along to this one day, as long as it doesn't involve going to Detroit. I find US modelling is of a pretty high standard.

The Lenz 21 pin looks identical to the Trix 21 pin. I wonder if they're related?
