QUOTE (Mark @ The Railway Channel)

Hi there

It's been another busy week on The Railway Channel and we're now attracting
interest from all over the world. In fact, the most astounding statistic is
that 49% of our viewers (which is now over a thousand a day and growing!) tune
in from the United States.

The channel is FREE and only shows high
quality programmes - we're sure you'll love what we have on offer - and this
week you can watch:

Railway World 5
- Mark Found returns with a look at videos from the internet
and railways from Japan, Poland and Ecuador are featured along with the ever
popular Train Crash of the Week.

Hemsby
- Giles Favell reports from the annual gathering of the 7 ¼" Society

Super D on the Churnet Valley
- a two part trip up the line with an unusual
camera angle giving us a tremendous vantage point

Diesel Hydraulics
- Bill Richards reports from the West Somerset Railway

Green Arrow Up Close and Personal
- one for the steam purists

Coal Trains on the

Tanfield
and

Foxfield
Railways

Steam In The Snow
- lovely film from Black 5 Productions

South Arbury
- 16mm action from Cambridgeshire

As ever we welcome your input so please feel free to e-mail and if you find this
newsletter irritating rather than informative please let me know and I'll make
sure there won't be any more.

Tip of the week:

We stream our videos which means the file arrives at your computer just ahead of
you watching it. Sometimes, however, demand on the local broadband network
(particularly in the UK) can be quite high (in the early evening for example)
and the result is you watch it faster than it can arrive on your computer. A
simple way to cure the "stuttering" is to just press the pause button, wait a
couple of minutes for it to stream and then view the movie.
This will no doubt improve as and when the UK phone system enters the 21st
Century and gets a complete overhaul!

All the best

Mark
