Its very sad when this happens. particularly when its detailed or hand built models that cant be replaced buy a quick trip down the LHS.

I remember Horst Meier's layout from Modelrailroader magazine. A German who has studied American outline.He was telling all the troubles he went thru collecting all the material during his layout construction. It is sad.

But wondering how can Big Boy be Nicked

Better follow up e-bay ,you never know it might pop up there.

Almost certainly "stolen to order" I fear..........

howver reading the post from the other site it appears this happened when the general public were not in attendance. In that case surely the relevant authorities would soon be able to narrow the field.

Still a very unwelcome event though.

They are certainly very beautiful models. Is it most likely another exhibitor/organiser saw them and "fancied" them for his own layout? What would these models cost to buy? It also raises a question to security at these exhibitions if people leave £10k or more of rolling stock out overnight. Hope he gets them back.
