When I went to the BBC 4 page to watch the programme about "Tornado" - Absolutely Chuffed - the men who built a steam engine, I saw this other programme "The last days of steam" also available for viewing with iPlayer. I highly recommend it to all steam enthusiasts, and there's a some prototype Deltic footage as well but sadly it's black & white. There's a bit of Blue Pullman too, also B & W.

Hi,

I saw that too, really do recommend the series. Tornado, I believe is down on the Great Central, doing a spot of running in.

Just a note about IPlayer: If you are using it at the same time as recording a program on the BT Vision V-Box, the recording on the V-Box will be abysmal, even at 8mb downstream.

Cheers,

Several of these programmes are being repeated at least once, if not twice, on BBC4 over the next few days.

And then there's another batch on Thursday 23rd October.....
