I've been quite impressed with what is available in Japanese model rail and I haven't even really looked into it. The Maglev thing looks pretty good. The other week when I was at the Wantirna Model Rail show
I saw this Japanese layout which was in Continental Modeller which was very good. This gives good indication of what is available in Japanese model rail.
