does anybody know the what a typical tpo formation was formed from as i would like to build 1 using the d c kits range? i would like to know before warley as i want to purchase them there, i already have sort s, bk stow and sort l(vhf fitted)

There's an active TPO preservation group on the Nene Valley Railway - try www.nvr.org.uk as a possible source of information.

Ian Allan published a book on TPOs about 20 years ago. I don't know if it's still available, but I do have a copy so may be able to get info for you.

There was a feature in model rail expres about TPO's showing the formations.

The southern maunsell TPO's are available in kit form from M.A.R.C. models. they were the only outhern vehicles (apart from departmental stock) to carry the BR blue/grey livery.

I have built 4 of the D.C. kits models and they go together very nicely.
