Over the past 20 years I have had a few loft based layouts for the kids ..
and have painted roads etc and put Hornby buildings up but have never had a go at putting scenery down on a layout and as my main layout is no more ( being re planned ) I decided I needed a section of track to test loco's on and something to have a go at scenery on so off I went to see what bits I had that I was not going to use on my main layout and this is what I came up with I still have quite a bit to finish off :-

Hi Anthony,
That looks good. Like the weathered 47 too.

What did you use for the longer grass, that looks lots better than the scatter.

Thanks
Simon

Looks good so far - does the brown bit on the embankment represent earth or rock ? From the shape and the gradient it presumaby is rock ?

Cheers

Looks good to my non-expert eyes. Pity the little dude in orange overalls in the penultimate photo seems to have gone rigid with fear and fallen over - lol

Looking good,

the back scene sure does make a difference.
I also like the long grass, not sure if we can get that here in Tassie.
keep up the good work.

Looks really good so far Anthony
I do like the way the back scene blends in, do you intend to weather the rails and ballast?

Thanks for the feedback it really does help to know you are headding in the right direction..... as for the weathering Mike i am going to do the track and the balast aswelk as each Tunnel entrance, i have some rail match paints im going to use ( another first ) so im planning on a dark rust for the rail then bulid up grime and oil etc on the track, sleepers and gravel and then see how it looks
I will post photos as soon as i have done it.

Regards
