Over the past 20 years I have had a few loft based layouts for the kids ..
and have painted roads etc and put Hornby buildings up but have never had a go at putting scenery down on a layout and as my main layout is no more ( being re planned ) I decided I needed a section of track to test loco's on and something to have a go at scenery on so off I went to see what bits I had that I was not going to use on my main layout and this is what I came up with I still have quite a bit to finish off :-

I have finally managed to have a go at weathering my test track and had a go at making my version of over head cables .... I also had a go at weathering an old Lima 100 Ton tanker and had to go with what paints I had but this was really more about working out how to use the spray gun as this whole thing for me has been working out what works for me and more importantly what not to do when i get to my main layout.

Hear are a few photos, I think this will be my last update to this project as I think I have done all I need to.

QUOTE (Rhiwderin_Ray @ 2 Apr 2012, 08:47) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You have done a great job there Anthony.
My only comment is that the grass along the embankment looks a bit too uniform in colour. In reality grass appears to be various hues from brown through green to yellow.

Hi Ray, thanks for the comments and yes the very good point about the grass. Grass is on my list of things to change as at the time I only had one shade of grass I now have three different shades of grass aswel as long and short so to go with the scatter, when I do it on my main layout I will be useing a mix as well as adding areas of dead grass.

Thanks David & David :) the only thing I've not done is put 3 way switches On for the two sets of signals I have, they are Red, Yellow, Green but I've found it hard to find the correct switch.
