QUOTE (BobB @ 21 Feb 2009, 07:14) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I use up to three different computers to access this forum and every computer has a different screen to begin with. One of them (the desktop machine in my office) requires me to log in twice before the forum recognises me.

I can't seem to find a way of making all computers work the same. Help anyone ?

QUOTE (ebaykal @ 21 Feb 2009, 08:18) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Glad you brought this subject up Bob, I suffer from a different version here. Most odd. The problem with mine is the way the threads are seen on the screen. Both at home and in the office I use Windows XP prof. with internet explorer 6 .At the computer in my office I can see all the threads answers and topics by just scrolling down the page i.e every reply is seen, whereas on the computer at home only the main thread subject is seen and all the replys are squeezed below in members headers of which you have to thick on it to find out what he has written which I find quite annoying. If it is a thread with 50 replys you simply get lost and vigorously search who has said what, whereas the other way, its simple, just scroll down and you can locate what you are looking for. Am I missing something? A button perhaps?

This sounds like you are not viewing the board in standard mode. At the top-right of a topic, click the 'Options' box and select 'Standard' viewing mode. The other modes are a little strange.

I think if you go to "your controls / LHS menu column / options / board settings you can pretty well configure most of what you want to see....

------------------------------------------------

However ...While the subject is the presentation of MRF.... I also have a question related to presentation.

With so many new subjects / posts, the "view new posts" page often runs to 2 pages - however I would prefer to work with it as one page.

So... I went to my control panel as above and changed the "Topic" numbers to view on one page to 40. While I was at it I set # of posts per page to 40 too....

But - while it now shows me 40 posts per page which is handy... it persists in displaying the topics (new posts topics page) as 25 per page.

Is there any way I can get it to change the number displayed on one page please?

Richard
I've checked, I can't specify the number of topics are displayed on the search results page and view new posts is a search actually.
